ECG Check App Reviews

Not as displayed

I am unsure why the most recent ECG device for iPhone 5 and software does not present "any" of the information of a reading as displayed. All that is reported is "normal" or "abnormal". Not all customers have a physician referral therefore why is the software not displaying the chart as shown - btw is it not OTC?

Doc Martin

This is very helpful when it works but it frequently fails to link with my iPhone 5S even with a new battery in the device and the gadget and the iPhone right beside one another. This is useless for transient dysrhythmias and would be hopeless in an emergency.

User

Only works on my iPhone 5s if I shut phone down and reboot. How do you fix that for me.

Excellent App

There were a few teething problems to begin with but my iPhone 5 picks up the signal every time. I do need to re record about 1 in 5 but not a big issue. Having had the results reviewed by my cardiologist, he is impressed by the accuracy. As a young man with a couple of heart issues its nice to check the rhythms on a regular basis.

Redefines awful. Bad. Really.

Mayonnaise would do a better job than this app and its hardware. Clearly designed by The Marx Brothers. Worst app Ive ever used, and I have hundreds. Made me want to kill myself, thereby fixing the app, by giving no read at all.

Neat device, but app needs some improvement.

If I touch "profile", it closes the app. The app could also use a better "getting started" flow to it.

Was great, until they updated it

Thought this device and app were fantastic, until they updated it. No longer works, AND they deleted ALL of my previous recordings. Called their customer support-she managed to (SLOWLY) suggest to me all of the troubleshooting steps already covered in the app...only new advice was that *maybe* changing the battery would make it work. Absolutely NO recourse to locate the now deleted recordings. I now have an odd, cumbersome phone case (that makes it IMPOSSIBLE to use the flash for photos unless I remove the case, due to interfereing glare) that is USELESS. Money and time down the drain, and ZERO support.

Latest 8/15/2014 app crashes

I updated the app a few days ago and lost functionality. I regrettably have moved on to another vendor’s app and hardware which performs superior to this one. I do not recommend this with the issues i have had in the past and with the latest update.

Saving my life!

I have atrial fibrillation. I take beta blockers and see my doctor regularly. The last few months, my medication has not been working on and off. When I see my doctor, my ECGs have been okay. I started recording my ECGs at home on this app and too it to the doctor. He was amazed at the accuracy (he was the one who recommended this app). I just got my new iphone 6 and waiting for the new attachment. I still keep my iPhone 5s to use with this app and attachment until they make the new one!

Buggy

Inaccurate readings at times as well as buggy. For instance, I just took a reading that shows the average heart rate 15 points lower than the minimum rate recorded, interesting math to say the least! I have brought this anomaly to the attention of the staff at ecgcheck, their response was that they would address the issue with their programmers. That was the last version of the software perhaps it was V2.1.1, Im not sure. Also I get many false negatives, my doctor has commented on this to me as well. The fact that the user is unable to selectively delete recordings means that the list of recordings becomes extremely difficult to maneuver through. You must have good internet connectivity to even use the device. Annoying in the extreme! There are many other devices available in this product category, one needs to research them before making the decision to purchase this one.

tried for hours to download into iphone.....no luck! no download? no icon appears on phone. Just too much trouble, bye now Is it free? Aggravating useless nuisance.

Doesnt work

I havent used in a while. Now after multiple attempts, new battery, multiple positions, I cannot connect to case.

Leading Edge Diagnostic Tool

Ive used the ECG Check iPhone case and app for almost a year, and its been a life changer. My whole life Ive had an atypical heart arrhythmia that hit randomly causing weakness and anxiety. My cardiologist wanted to imbed a device in my chest to try to catch and record the episodes but I suggested using the case and app instead. I started recording episodes and emailing them to my doctor, then alerting him with a text or call, as they were happening. Based on the recordings, he was able to narrow down the type of arrhythmia to one that is not life threatening and Im now on medication to control it. I still record episodes, now less frequent, and email them to my doctor. Even though Ive upgraded to an iPhone 6+, I can still do this as long as the old case is near. The case and app has worked flawlessly through battery changes and app updates. This has totally changed my life!

Disappointed

The app is free, however does not function unless you buy the "monitor" that needs to be attached to your phone. Disappointed.
