ECG Check App Reviews

Needs an activation code that is not readily available

Weird that!

Ms

Where do I obtain activation code???

How do i obtain an activation code?

Stupid app requiring activation code that cant be found anywhere!

Here are the facts! This is NOT a simple minded toy that previous reviewers think it is.

This app is designed to work with a special medical attachment which provides the telemetry to the app through wireless technology. The device and the activation code are provided by your cardiologist. A serial number on the device is also entered in a profile that you create once in the app. This is NOT a toy for fun! It works as designed and provides a PDF wave chart that can be emailed to your healthcare provider from within the app as your arrhythmia is progressing. I am in healthcare IT and showed it to some of the nurses I work with and they agree that it is a WONDERFUL tool for additional diagnosis of cardiac issues. I thank my cardio provider for the opportunity to use it!

Requires third party hardware

No where in the description (or in the "requirements) does it mention you need to buy "electrodes". I suppose someone is sitting there laughing at this prank app thinking, "I wonder how long fools will wait for the ECG to begin?"

Misleading

Like mentioned on other posts, you cannot use this app without electrodes which are impossible to find,

Michael

Dont waste your time or effort in trying to down load this product. . . Is a scam

ECG

Fabulous app. especially when dealing with A-Fib/A-Flutter.

Electrodes

It is a really fantastic idea, but YES, they should inform you of the electrodes beforehand. If you install the app, it sends you to the site where you can order them. They are $99-&129.

Excellent AP

This app is simply wonderful. While only providing a single channel E CG, it does so within a reasonable. Providing useful information. I am very happy with the Bluetooth feature. More medical apps like this need to be developed.

Very cool and useful app

This app and the hardware it supports are really setting a new trend in portable medical measurements. I use mine in countless demos and while teaching students and there is nice progress since early versions of the system. We are looking forward to the iPhone 6 cases! Great concept, nice engineering, and sure to have real impact.

Did it and regret it.

Dont do it. The application is not intuitive or informative and requires a $100 expenditure. It is useless unless information about your physician or a prescription from a physician is provided. The presumption is that your physician must be involved in order to make the application useful to you. This is not explained anywhere that I could find in the application. Is it illegal for such an application to provide information to the customer without involving medical personnel? In my opinion this needs much more development and thought. Get the application if you remain interested, but WAIT before you spend $100 for the device required. Ask your physicians opinion and expect him or her to advise you about what you need. Dont do it.

Worthless....

....piece of junk

Cardiac POS

POS!!..Do not buy, a fool n their money r easily parted!!

No good

Downloaded the app and it wouldnt do a thing. I placed my hands on the device as instructed and nothing happens.

App review

Overall good but a little confusing in terms of it being a patient when setting up the patient name. Should label it patient. Also label the dr as the sender--as the email write it is being sent by the patient name.

Technology is great

Amazing that a tracing can be obtained from your phone. Need to practice with it to obtain good tracing. Then, its very easy. It saves tracing to your phone and server. Can email hardcopy. Suggested placing small boxes on printout. ( 0.04). Not a grand slam but an inpark home run.

Amazing, but flawed

Physician mode (requires verification) is very interesting. Does give you a one lead tracing. Sensor only fits a iPhone 4, but because it uses Bluetooth will work with an iPhone 5. Software a bit buggy. Typically after taking a tracing of about 10 seconds I have to force quit the application. But when I reopen, the tracing is there and can be viewed! So it works to show basic rhythms...sort of.

Never got it to work

I held the phone as required, but it never activated.

great device but app is little bit buggy

I was thinking to have my personal ECG recorder for long time, I was about to build one, I have arrhythmia and wanted to see myself before I go to doctor. This thing is awesome, I use it on my chest instead of holding in my hands, that way the ECG is very clean, since the device apparently doesnt have filters to filter 50 Herz noise. The placement is very important, I tried different positions and the best is right on top of the heart in the center of the chest horizontally, that way I could see all the waves. If only the app had more detailed analysis, like giving me QT interval and other important numbers. What I get from analysis is only Normal or Abnormal. Also the app sometimes hangs and requires hard reboot of my iPhone 5. The time stamp on ECG recording is also wrong, about seven hours back (?), was it coded in Russia? It should use current time of the iPhone location, in my case EST, so if I send the ECG to my doctor, he could get wrong impression of the time of event.
